However, the Mercedes that she suggested was automatic, so we accepted the (manual) Mitsubishi. It turned out to be a very nice car, totally redesigned, completely different from the any old versions of the Colt. "

" I booked a SUV for a 10-day trip from Granada, Spain to France, and I wanted an SUV. My reservation (Nr, 1177298289 / Contract Nr. 6039958530) called for a VW T-ROC or similar. Usually, I have no problem with a "similar" option, but in this case the Europcar office at Granada Airport gave me an old, beat-up Ford Kuga with 50,000 km and a long, long list of existing damages, dents, scratches and dings. The left rear tire had a slow leak, so I had to pump air in the tire every few hundred Km. The Speed limiter malfunctioned, and switched to a max speed of only 50km, and engaged the brakes while I was cruising on a very crowded motorway at 130km!! The rapid deceleration was extremely dangerous, and I was lucky that the only result was a lot of horn-blowing angry motorists. Then, when we reached the hotel, I opened the hatchback and the whole plastic fascia on the inside of the rear window crashed down. This was comprised of plastic pieces that are supposed to be snapped into place, but frankly I could not be bothered to fix it, as I am not tall enough to reach the inside of the hatchback when it is raised. The "Lane-Keeping" system also did not work right, and the Cruise Control option was unusable because it required an automatic engagement of all the "safety" features like Lane-Keeping and crash proximity, etc.. Then, 5 days into our 10-day trip, Apple Car Play stopped working. All in all, this car should have been retired from the rental fleet long ago. "

" In response to your inquiry regarding my experience of hiring a car from u I can only say that I have been extremely disappointed with the treatment that I received I booked the car on the 26th of November to be collected from Fuerteventura Airport on the 2nd of January when I arrived I was informed that I could not take the car because I did not have a credit card only a debit card I had not been informed of this previously even though booked the car with a debit card and payment was taken out of my account As a result I had to take a taxi to my hotel costing 50 euro I then had to hire a car from the hotel the next day As I was travelling with a gentleman suffering from dementia this was all very stressful I did contact your firm while I was away but was told I should have read the small print As a result I shall not be using your company again nor recommending it to friends or business acquaintances a little more assistance and openness would have been a great help a response to this would be appreciated "

" A brief explanation of my issue I hired a car from Europcar for 693e incl vat, I paid in full, Reservation number: 1050902955 I was then charged an additional 160.72e on my credit card when I returned home. I received an invoice detailing the charge as VAT and Ecological charge (both were included in original 693e) I tried and tried to get Europcar to investigate and issue a refund. Eventually I contacted my credit card provider who advised me to send them a letter and all correspondence between myself and europcar and they would investigate and refund my credit card if I was incorrectly charged. They did this and my credit card was refunded the 160.72e. I then got letters out of the blue from some french debt collection agency demanding payment. I advised Europcar that I was not wasting any more time on the matter, that If I had to I would engage legal representation and issue an invoice for the time I have spent dealing with Europcar. I heard no more about it until I was refused my reserved/confirmed car at the Europcar desk in Barcelona airport two weeks ago. Please bring this ridiculous saga to an end. "

I had previously rented with europcar through Auto europe (Reservation number: 1050902955) and been double charged by europcar (€160). After trying desperately to get Europcar or Autoeurope to sort it out, I eventually contacted my credit card company and they having investigated it refunded my credit card. Now I find that I am blacklisted by Europcar, none of this is my fault. Why have Auto Europe and Europcar not sorted this issue out between them? "

" Europcar service was way below what I experienced before in Switzerland and many other countries. Autoeurope - you dissappointed me with misleading information about the insurance coverage - I had to pay twice! This is not acceptable . I would like to talk to your management customer team about this. I don't want any legal procedures triggered, but I think you are not treating your customers in the right way and if this is not addressed, not only will you lose me as a customer, but I will tell my friends not to use your services. "
" The system booked us a car in a different terminal (T1 instead of T2). When we arrived the staff at teh Europcar point found us a car that was in the same class at the T2. However, this car had middle back seatbelt not working (we had to sign a paper we are aware of this) and thus we can have max 4 ppl in a car. Not such a big issue, but I would expect all cars to be in perfect condition! Secondly, we were warned there are some scratches, but it was too dark on the parking lot to check all the details. When we came back, the drop off staff claimed we had a new scratch on the bumper. But it was definitely not us. We made a mistake we didn't take pictures (as it was too dark and there were noone at the parking lot when we were picking the car). It was good I took full coverage. This is another point - at this time I was super unhappy with Autoeurope. When selecting the car, I took max insurance - in the header it was saying it includes glass and tires and zero excess. But when I arrived I found out that Theft Protection had excess and the windows and tires were not insured, as well as cases of damage on the parking lot. I double checked the papers from Autoeurope - and indeed, this was mentioned int he small font. You are misleading your customers and after 5 years of using your services, I am considering not to. "
