" Second good experience with Firefly - after taking out zero excess policy! But they were helpful and transparent which is really all you can ask for. Not sure if there are any other charges following so we'll see. Gave a lower score for car return which wasn't really Firefly's fault as Malaga airport is a mess at the moment. "

" Returned car full of fuel and showed them refill receipt. They still charged me ?56 as they stated only 7/8th full. The fuel gauge showed totally full - I felt totally ripped off and there was nothing I could do. I will never use Firefly again. I have used Auto Europe many times and have no gripe with you. Thank you. "

" Very long wait time to collect the car. Hard when arriving of an evening with small children. There was a huge queue and over an hours wait to be seen and sign forms etc.. also firefly were talking everyone into buying additional insurance even though most people had already purchased car insurance through an intermediary like auto Europe. Car wise I can't fault anything. The car was a brand new opel zafira and a pleasure to drive. "

" A couple people I spoke to in Auto Europe were incredibly unhelpful and seemed completely uninterested in my questions but I also spoke to one very helpful man. I think by taking out the full insurance cover with Auto Europe towing should be included. If the car you rent breaks down through no fault of the renter it seems ridiculous that the the renter has to pay for the car to be towed. "

" Firefly were great, Carmen was very helpful and efficient on arrival and drop off. If renting a car seat be aware that it will probably be different from your own and the staff do not know how to fit them in the car. We spent about 30 mins trying to figure out how to secure the seat. "

" Staff were not friendly also charged 89.84 inc VAT for a tank of petrol for a Fiat Uno which to me is very excessive.Customers should have the option of picking up the car full and returning it full in all rental periods.This idea of collecting it full (and paying an excessive fuel bill)and returning it empty is a money making racket for car hire companies. "

" I use Auto Europe for my holiday car hire every year and have always found the process very efficient and value for money "

" Firefly were extremely difficult to find in Alicante airport - no signs whatsoever. Also after paying €95 for the hire, I was then charged €97 for fuel and told I had to bring the car back empty with no option. I was also charged €51 for additional insurance as if the car broke down through no fault of mine, I would have to cover the cost of getting the car back to the airport (some 40 minutes drive from my apartment). Also I was asked if I wanted an upgrade of car - was charged €14 and subsequently overheard that they were out of the small car class that I originally booked and would have to have given me the larger car anyway. Altogether highly unsatisfactory and using them does Auto Europe no favours in securing return business! "
