" We received the car with less than a half tank of petrol- and was not cleaned from the previous customer. I was a assured by the guy on the desk that he would mark it as empty on the contract on 2 separate occasions- however when I got the confirmation email, it was marked full but not only that they had put in a much lower mileage entry on the contract too so by the time we reached our destination in cambrils it looked like we had already completed 900+ km instead of around 100. I presume a tactic to show that the tank was full ..I emailed the office and head office and heard nothing. The 2 guys working there seemed to be arguing or "up selling" to everyone both on pick up and return. I mean every single person renting was arguing with them. Because of this I filled the car back up to full as I knew an argument would ensue otherwise. The whole rental experience with Alamo felt scammy and uncomfortable.. However thankfully I was greeted by an employee from enterprise ( who had a uniform on) who was very understanding and was sympathetic to what had happened us- I told him the whole story and he gave me a voucher for petrol on my next rental with them.. but I would be very reluctant use them again based on the experience with the Alamo staff. So essentially I paid 60€ for to fill a car that was given to me almost empty "

" Most disappointed to find out that Alamo were closed and believe that some of the responsibility rests with Auto Europe. All the other carhire companies seemed to be operating. "
" Flight delayed. Alamo seemed to be the only car hire company that closes at 12, midnight with a useless customer telephone messaging. Consequently I did not pick up the car as it was more economical to forsake the car hire than have to return to the airport when the office re-opened. I expected to have to pay an excess due to the late arrival but not for their offices to be closed. I don't think that Auto Europe should quote a company that might be closed within 2 hours of flight arrival because unfortunately delays are inevitable. "

" There was a bit of pressure to pay an additional 50 euro for breakdown/towing cover - but we had a separate insurance policy that covered this, even though the woman in the Alamo office was a bit skeptical about it! She couldn't check our car when we returned it at 2.30 because she was alone in the office...though there were no problems and our 250 euro deposit was back in our account within a couple of days. Car was comfortable and in good condition. "
