" Was very disappointed in the lack of integration of a breakdown and requirement for a replacement car. We were effectively abandoned at a breakdown yard. "
" Car broke down on the motorway, while breakdown recovery was efficient, no help with arranging a replacement car as it was a Sunday, had to take a 90 minute train to Bologna airport. Staff there were excellent on the desk, but replacement car did not have CarPlay, making our journeys more difficult. "

" When I went to collect the car the dark haired lady was unfriendly and not impressed that w had booked through auto europe. Kept going on about the fact that we were not insured and that we needed to take out more insurance. It became a big issue. Also went on about the fact that we would be getting scrapes on the car etc. Not a bit helpful and aggressive. Did not like the fact that we had gone through auto europe and that we should have booked through themselves. "

" Overall, the experience was positive. Rental vehicles seem to suffer significantly more wear and tear or bodywork damage in Italy than in other European countries, however, as a customer, I prefer newer vehicles in better condition with which I was provided once I raised the issue. "

Was unhappy with the condition of the vehicle, which was shabby and had a lot of bodywork damage and internal panel marks as well as missing a rear parcel shelf. Staff agreed to provide an alternative vehicle, which was in almost-new condition. "

" Very stressful. My wife is heavily pregnant and when we got to the desk it was 23.00 so we were tired. Goldcar employee was quite rude and basically told us we could spend the night in the airport if we didn't pay the extra 178 euro "
