" The counter staff was just 1 person the queue was 1 hour. A second counter staff just finished shift as we arrived in Queue. The person on was very friendly and professional, Europcar should have had another person on and they would have cleared the queue quickly. "

" Europcar are good, although you need to provide more information about the vehicles that are available. I would never recommend Europcar and only hire from them reluctantly, and having ensured that I have excellent insurance against their exhorbitant claims for any damage to their vehicles "

" This time my experience was fine. The staff are friendly and professional, and the car provided was good. However pst experience with Europcar indicates that they have a practice of making fraudulent or grossly inflated claims for any damage to a vehicle. I experienced this personally from Europcar Switzerland two years ago, and they have been taken to court in France by the trading standards authority because of this practice. I would rather not rent from Europcar or their subsidiary Unirent, and will always choose a similarly priced competitor if one is available "

" I booked a manual but was given ven an automatic. However the agent was very helpful. I wasn't comfortable with automatic so they changed it to manual . I only had to wait ten minutes . Very pleasant worker at the desk . "

" The booking experience with auto europe was very good. I would not rent again with europcar because of the car size problem. "

" I booked and paid for a VW Golf or equivalent and the car we collected was an Audi A1 which was too small for 4 people plus luggage. We had to put luggage lying on top of the passengers in the rear seat. I drive a Golf normally and the size would have been perfect for our needs. Also, the car was not ready at 16.30 but rather about 45 minutes later. The time was not a major issue on it's own but with the car size problem all together it was a big disappointment. "

I subsequently changed and flew into Geneva but forgot to amend my car hire arrangements. Europcar were extremely abrupt and uncompromising.
