" Overall good but experience at airport desk was poor. Was told that the requested vehicle was not available at that terminal and he spent a long time searching for one at an alternative terminal. Then told me that the vehicle that he had "found" was manual and not automatic as I had requested. He went away from the desk and when he returned he told me that he could offer me an upgraded vehicle (Volvo C90) and tried to negotiate a price ranging from €500 per day down to , eventually €150 per day. When I refused the offer he "miraculously" found the vehicle I originally required - in another terminal. The entire process at the desk took over 1 hour and was very frustrating. "

The car was returned full & she checked the gauge & agreed with us that it was full. She said she was more strict than the previous staff we dealt with when returning cars in the past where we had used the same last Petrol station on the motorway. " Please note we are not people to complain so this is very difficult for me but we had such a bad experience at Toulouse pick up I feel I must let you know. We always use your service and found it excellent but this was just a disaster. Firstly we queued up and completed the paperwork as you know this takes time , we then proceeded to examine car , there was food and drink cartons left from previous clients and inside the full inside was very dirty , it was never cleaned. We then went back into office and had to complete paperwork for a 2nd car , when we went to examine this we discovered it was manual drive and not automatic as we reserved. Back in to complete paperwork for 3rd car , agreement showed 4 damaged areas but when we went to examine there were over 14 damages , we were told to take photos , this is not good enough we dont work for Europecar the agreement should have had all the damages already listed . We were not prepared to do this so back into office again where we had to then take the 1st original dirty car as it was the only automatic available , the service guy gave it a quick wipe over but it didnt feel clean. When we left the parking lot the tyre pressure lights came on before we even left the airport again this should not happen. We spent 1.5-2 hours in this process and it caused great stress and upset and we didnt make it to our destination for a special event. I would like a reply to this complaint please and compensation as we paid over €1,000 for car for 2 week period. "

" I lost 4 days of my holiday thanks to Europcar. Following a puncture on day 3, the car was taken away and the following day (day 4) I send 150km away in a taxi to collect another vehicle. The 2nd car started to display an fault issue. On day 5 we went to the local Europcar office in Beziers. They thought they resolved the issue. On day 6 it was clear the issue was not resolved. Returning to the local office and after much debate they agreed that the car need to be replaced. It tool 1 hour to source a new car at the local airport. On returning they said there was no damage (and there was none) and have now charged me for damage without telling me what damage that might be. "

After used the car for five weeks, I cannot find one good feature apart from ease of parking. It was the worst rental car in economy class that I have ever received. " Even though we arrived in time to pick up the car, due to long delays at the counter we ended up being charged an out of hours fee. Also a car hire company closing at 1630hrs on a Saturday in August at Lyon airport seems ridiculous. "
" On returning home we discovered a charge of €25 for out of hours service was made against our credit card. We had booked to pick up the car at 1630hrs and although we were in their queue way before 1630hrs, due to long delays at the Europcar counter we didn't actually get the car until 1649hrs, according to their records. Two of their three staff actually left at 1630hrs much to the amazement of all of us in the queue, which left one gentleman to deal with the queue. It seems unfair that we are charged due to their inefficiency. They should not accept a booking for a pick up at 1630hrs if they don't have enough staff to process the pick up. "

" 2 issues to mention: (1) At the collection desk it was mayhem - big queue and no one to tell us to get a reference number from a kiosk, that was very confusing and a very long wait. But when we got to the desk, and after 1 hour, the lady was super nice and we were upgraded to a better car, much apprciated. (2) When we got to our car, I found a large mark on the rear bumber, this was not mention to me. Fortunatly I saw it and got a member of staff to make a not on our documentation. I also took a photo , with time-stamp. Everything else was perfect. Car was like new. Very comfy, great upgrade. Drop off was easy, the guy we met was friendly and patient. Usually at this point staff from all companies are rude and rushing customers - but not this time. Thanks !!! "

" I would advise you to contact the car-rental groups in nice airport to say that cast was or not happy with this extra fee. Returning the car in a very king state was never ever mentioned when renting the only thing that was mentioned as always is to return the car with a full tank of petrol which we did. "

" I didn't like that I had to clean the inside of the car...I was warned at the desk that I would be fined a 1000 euro if the car had any dirt in it ..."Corsica is an island and lots of people go to the beach and bring the cars back with sand, I warn you not to out you will be fined"...that's not a nice policy. I spent over an hour in boiling heat at a suitable petrol station (took another hour to find a station with a hoover) pushing euro coins into a machine to operate a hoover and clean the car...that's not ideal "
