First the staff attempted to explain this as the VAT on the one way charge, and I had to explain that the one way charge of 73.20 included VAT. Then they said it was an airport tax and there was nothing to do about it. I was annoyed that with Auto Express or Enterprise were adding an extra charge that I could do nothing about. "

" It was explained to me before I took the car that should it break down I was to call the pickup truck which I had to take out additional insurance for and make my own way back to their office in Florence. I had no problem with the car but it was lucky for me it didn't break down. They then accused me of cracking a lens on the back bumper. I am 100% sure that this lens was cracked when they gave me the car. I checked the car for damage at pickup but failed to notice this crack. I felt the guy knew exactly where to look when I brought the car back. I'm still waiting on the charges to be sorted out. "

" We booked the VW Touran car as the car has the 5/7 car option (intermediate van), turns out Touran dont have 7-seater option and this is not clear on the website. Also, Enterprise didnt have the Touran and we had to settle for Skoda Octavia Station Wagon. We couldn't upgrade to 7-seater because there are no options, and next options to upgrade is 9-seater, which they also don't have any car in that range. Called AutoEurope and the lady behind the line could not change our booking, and we had to take the Skoda in the end and cramped space for passengers, dangerous but we had no choice, as to book from other car rental company would cost nearly ?700 and we have to try claim back what have paid. Website needs to be clear on the passenger limit "

Had to settle for a Skoda stationwagon, otherwise we would have lost our booking and have to get new car which would cost triple of what we paid originally. But in fairness, the ladies behind Enterprise helped us in trying to get in touch to AutoEurope and showing other car options. Nevertheless, both AutoEurope and Enterprise need to ensure the categories of cars matches each other "

" Auto Europe or Enterpsise got the details wrong or I didn't fully understand the deal. I got the full insurance package and was told by Auto Europe there would be no hold on my credit card. When I got to Palermo Enterprise put a 623.58 euro hold on my card plus a hold for fuel (expected). When I returned the car I was told their policy is to email the receipts - that was yesterday and I'm still waiting for the emailed copies of the receipts. Plus there is still a hold on my card for over 700 euro's. After I gave the guy the paperwork he heads outside to the car and looks again and comes back in and says there is some problem with the car but not to worry as I have insurance. They struck me as pretty shady/dodgy people. "

This was annoying as i f i had of wanted a Locauto car i would have paid the lower price for it. Excess Refund Program is a complete waste and all the exempt items are only visible in the "Terms and Conditions" which are written very small and not available when you are in the booking process.
