" Upon picking up my first vehicle, I immediately noticed an issue with the right-wing mirror--it was broken and rendered unsafe, as I could not properly see out of it. I called your customer service the following day to report the problem, and was advised to drive to a nearby airport to exchange the car, despite the clear safety issue. This was not only an inconvenience but also placed my safety at risk. I had to drive from Carcassonne to Argeles-sur-Mer in a thunder storm with the mirror not working. I complied with your instructions and exchanged the vehicle at the airport, (Sunday 13th July) which cost me a full afternoon of my holiday. The second car I received was functional for only two days before it went into limp mode on the day I was scheduled to travel to a different location. After making three separate phone calls to resolve the issue, I was repeatedly asked for my address. Eventually, a smaller vehicle was delivered to my location. While I appreciated the replacement, this meant I had three different cars in four days, and the significant disruption of my holiday, time which I will never get back. The series of issues I experienced--including receiving unsafe and faulty vehicles, poor communication, and an overall lack of efficiency--was highly disappointing, especially given that I expected a seamless experience during my vacation and the money I paid for 1 rental car for two weeks. "

" auto europe booking process was fine however the agent did not have the car that i booked and paid for. Auto Europe need to vett what they are offering, I had booked a diesel fuel Nissan X-trail, there was no X-trail or equivalent sized vehicle visible at Enterprise on that night. It is misleading and quite disappointing especially for people travelling with small kids and a lot of luggage, that they may be lumbered with a car smaller than ordered, with basically, "well that's all we have so you will have to make do"... "
" It was a terrible experience. The ordered car was not available on arrival. the counter staff offered an electric car with no alternate. When I asked what I was to do, as given the intended mileage for the week I could not take an electric car, I was told firstly, "maybe I could wait until tomorrow, there might be a car, and when pushed I was told "you can cancel and maybe check with AVIS", with a laugh... bearing in mind I had a 4 mth old infant and 3 year old toddler with me at 9.30 at night!!! I eventually got a car, smaller than ordered, no adjustment on price, it had just returned in dirty condition with a half tank of fuel which I had to have corrected on my booking before departing. it was a terrible experience overall... "

It was clear that their aim was to provide good customer service rather than maximise commission through selling additional products like car insurance excess or sat navs (like all other car hire operators). We booked a Mondeo Estate or similar class of car as we had 3 bikes to transportat. However on arrival there was no similar car. We attempted to put our bikes into the next biggest vehicle but they wouldn't all fit. The staff at Enterprise recognised our problem and saw it was not of our making. They offered us a 2nd (smaller class) car to get us on our way. All this was included in the original price. Truly great customer service which would make me rent from Enterprise again without question. "

" When we picked up our car, we surveyed the car with the enterprise staff member who was very polite and efficient and she pointed out any existing damage although it was getting dark. When the staff member asked was there any damage other than what was on it when we picked it up and we said there was not. He identified a small indentation on the bonnet and when he checked the computer there was no record of this but that the silver panel underneath was loose. I advised that we had not damaged car but he said that he must fill out report and contact Paris. I asked him to talk to staff member who had dealt with us initially and stressed that this could have been missed when the other damage was noticed. We have heard nothing since. "

My credit card was debited E250.00 on booking and the account has not been closed off or have we received any contact since Sunday and we stressed that we did not cause the damage and would have advised them immediately on returning the car if we had caused the damage. We did not take out additional insurance as we have an annual car hire excess policy. "

I did not notice that the missing hubcap was not marked on the contract sheet although the other damage to that side of the car was. My own fault for not being thorough in my inspection as I was charged for the hubcap on return. A lesson to me to be more careful in future. The first time I have been charged for loss or damage. in dozens of rentals over 30 years on all continents. Otherwise service was good. Car went well.. "
