My voucher clearly states that additional driver was included but the airport agent refused to honour this as he said this offer had been withdrawn. I felt we had no choice but to pay the extra charge. I feel that voucher terms should have been honoured. "

" You will see by my profile, I have been using AutoEurope exclusively for many, many years. I have had very few occasions where I have needed assistance during a rental and you were always there and helpful. I was beyond disappointed when I was unable to get help at 9pm at night as I thought your customer service line was open until 11pm. I always recommend AutoEurope to my friends and family and will likely continue to do so but to be honest, I will be a bit more hesitant after this last experience. PLEASE REFUND THE INITIAL PAYMENT OF $104.54 "
" upon picking up the car, I was ask, as always if I have an international driving permit, which I no longer have as I have not been asked for it for atleast the last 3 years that I have been renting cars in Italy. I am aware that it says on every site that this is required but every time I have said I do not have it, nothing was said and I was able to collect the car without issue. This time I was told they could not rent the car to me. It was 9pm and I had 2 hours to drive to get to my place. I tried calling autoeurope twice while standing at the counter and the recoding said the office was closed. Although he was very nice, the only on option the counter agent said I had was to cancel the pre=paid booking and he would have to create a new booking with FULL insurance coverage. The USD amount was $246.43 vs. $104.54 I had already paid! I had no choice but to accept the offer. He advised that I needed to wait a few days after I had returned the car to contact AuroEurope to obtain a refund in of the $104.54 I had paid. PLEASE REFUND THIS AMOUNT IMMEDIATELY. In addition, the car they gave me was not clean on the inside - especially the inside of the front windshield which was very scary during the drive in the dark every time oncoming headlights came. I finally ended up pulling over, taking off my shoe and using my sock to try and clean the window. And there is more...the headlights were very poor and dim especially on the driver side. And most scary of all was that on my 2.5 hour return drive to Naples the breaks became squishy and a very loud scraping noise happened each time I stepped on the breaks. I mentioned this to the person who checked me in when I made it to the airport and they said they would take the car out of service. "

" It wasn't stated clearly that when I took out comprehensive insurance cover, it was only via a 3rd party and I would have to settle with Ecovia myself and then try and claim it back via Auto Europe. I ended up taking out insurance again with Evovia as I could not risk the chance of damage and only a small possibility of getting paid out for my claim in a few months time. Very poor service "

" very bad. autoeurope was not really helpful. they should not have companies which have a very poor customer service like eurovia among their clients. I trusted eurovia because it was among the companies listed on autoeurope, big mistake though. "
" our flight had a delay of one hour. we called autoeurope to let them know before our plane took off. when we arrived at destination eurovia had already closed their office. we landed at 23:10 and they closed before we arrived (2300). I was expecting an out of office fee, not that they just left us stranded. this was a massive inconvenience for us and our 2 young cihldrne. also it was impossible to contact eurovia via phone (also the morning after). we lost our booking and had to make a new one. "

" The fact that Auto Europe booked us a car for 22:00 from a company that closes at 22:00 without giving us an advance notice for this, caused us great stress and bad experience. "
" After I made a booking via Auto Europe for 22:00, it turned out that the car is booked from a company whose office closes at 22:00. Our flight was delayed with 45 minutes and despite running through the airport, I was charged a penelty (which was written in the terms) for arriving at 22:25. We didn't have a credit card in the name of the driver, so we paid the expensive insurance of the car company. We received a free upgrade to a SUV vehicle, which was handy. Overall everything went according to the contract, however we got very stressed out from the whole experience and we paid 180 EUR for 3 days instead of the planned 55 EUR. "
