" Due to construction work taking place at Terminal 1, I couldn't locate the pickup point. I tried calling Centauro for over 45 minutes to get information, without success. As the Centauro office closed at 11:00 PM, I had no choice but to take a taxi and drive to the rental company at my own expense. According to the voucher, I booked a Ford Kuga or similar – a mid-size SUV. However, the car I received was a Skoda Kamiq, which appears to be a smaller vehicle category in terms of size and luggage capacity. When I asked why the car was a bit smaller than in my reservation, the person issuing the vehicle replied that AutoEurope sometimes practices this. The car was released with 3 faults - Error Start/Stop - Front Assist Fault - Line Assint Fault No washer fluid and the inside of the glass window being dirty and greasy only made the situation worse. I strongly recommend that you carefully record the condition of the car's interior and exterior upon pickup, as there's no such thing as having the rental company employee prepare a condition report. When I returned the car, I was asked about a scratch on the right front wheel arch. I had to submit a photo I'd taken when picking up the car, indicating that the damage was already there when I picked it up. "

" The pick up point for the car listed at Ciampino Rome Airport does not exist. We spent an hour dragging our cases around the outside of the terminal trying to find the pick up location- which is not signposted. Other car rental customers suffered the same experience. The excuse given by Centauro was that the airport authority does not permit them to erect a sign. Totally unsatisfactory. Also the inside windows of the car were filthy and difficult to see out from and unsafe in the sunshine. The tires were shown as under inflated at time of pick up which was unsafe also. "

" Shuttle service was poor and not well organised. On arrival there is no dedicated pick up point. or signage. We did not know where to get the shuttle, and when we found the location we were waiting for over almost an hour. Also our shuttle for departure was not well organised. There was a queue of 20 people waiting for a bus with 8 seats with no queueing system. When the shuttle arrive people were jumping the queue which caused a lot of annoyance. "
