" there was a very minor scratch on the wheel cover that I didn't cause. I got charged €40 because it wasn't marked on the check out documentation. the scratch was barely visible so I ignored it on check out then got pinged for it when I returned. Very annoying "

" My flight arrived early, so I arrived at the desk 45 minutes before the arranged pick up time. I was offered an alternative vehicle that was "full to empty" rather than the "full to full" that I had ordered or else I had to wait until the scheduled time. I don't understand why a vehicle is tied to a specific fuel policy, why could they not have offered that available alternative vehicle on a "full to full" basis? In any case, I chose to wait and they made me wait until precisely the pick up time. They proceeded to really pressure me to take "roadside assist" (which I refused). On the plus side the car was brand new (Skoda) and was very clean. "

" Overall , I felt there was a lack of transparency concerning actual costs involved at pick up . The price quoted on voucher should show the price inclusive of the the vat rate applicable ( 22%). The vat rate was the the only extra charge mentioned on voucher. Yet, for additional driver , I was charged fees of E6.30 , and then the vat was added ? Again for one way pick up , an additional charge of E10.80 was added to base rate, and then vat was added. These charges , were not flagged on voucher , or Autoeurope . I sought but did not receive an explanation for these charges - but that could have been a language/communication issue. "
" No particular issue with Alamo.Was presented on Autoeurope as Alamo by Enterprise , when in fact it was ran/organized by the Locauto desk. Was surprised at the extra taxes on one way charge and additional driver. Also was offered a special deal concerning pre payment of fuel , which was not reflective of full to full policy, which I required. "

" My drop off was a very bad experience. The staff tried their best to charge me for damage. I have used Enterprise so many times and never had an issue like this. I pointed out two pieces of damage!!! Now when I say damage he needed to point it out twice. There was two dots so small you would need glasses. It was a con job and I would give in . In the end the manager decided no damage. Italian rip off. I'm so careful with rentals. The was a set up. "

The only question I had was the car categorisation. I had booked a medium size car for 4 people but the assigned car was quite small (Lancia). The local agent was able to get us a VW Polo which was better. "

Dropping off the car proved more difficult, badly signposted drop off sections, when I eventually found the drop off zone, the process was very easy, but it took us almost 1 hour to drop off to find the drop off zone! " Gangsters! THEY WERE ITALIAN GANGSTERS!!! Counter staff lady(ies) were RUDE as HELL! WE even had to walk a half mile to find car. Drop off was like finding a needle in a haystack. Pick up and drop off were both desperate and like dealing with FREDDIE KRUGER from the movie "ELM-STREET"!!! They fraudulent billed me for fueling charges, which were by the way outrageous,even when I showed them the receipt that I had just completely filled the tank!! Gas gage of our economy rental car was defective upon pick up. WE WILL BE DISPUTING CHARGES WITH OUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY!!! "

" Very annoyed by this rental experience. I use Auto Europe regularly and have never had a rental problem. On picking the car up in Bari, one of the hubcaps was missing and there was a scratch on the back bumper which the agent took a photo of using their tablet computer. On returning the car to Naples, there was no one to receive the car. I inspected the car for any additional bodywork issues and dropped the keys in the return box. However I received an email on my return from LocAuto claiming there was €400 euros of damages to the car during my rental. This is absolutely false. Any damages were present on the car when I picked it up in Bari. I do not intend to pay these damages unless LocAuto can provide time-stamped photos of the claimed damage to the car. "
