" I had a flat tire and I wasn't able to change the tire using the tools provided in the car. The car didn't had the proper tooling to change that tire and the emergency number Hertz provided didn't answer. I give 5 to the condition of the vehicle because not having the changing tire tools appropriate can in some cases(slim) lead to very bad outcome but other than that the car was in a very good shape. "

" When I lived in Ireland, Auto Europe was my preferred holiday rental company for European trips, due to competitive rates and especially the excellent additional insurance cover provided, however we usually opted for other Auto Europe partners than Hertz. I rarely opted for renting with Hertz, as they seemed to be consistently more expensive, with more restrictive rental conditions. In this case, we were happy to rent with Hertz through Auto Europe because of the competitive deal offered. Certainly it was a very positive counter experience when picking up the van, the official looking after us was extremely professional and helpful. As mentioned above, we were very happy to be allowed to add a third driver for a couple of days without additional charge. In the end the only negative note was when we returned the van - due to not being informed by the Hertz staff member about the additional charges levied -while the charges are legitimately within the terms and conditions of rental, the 'exit' experience could definitely have been better simply by being reminded or informed that the charges would be levied. In summary - very happy as previously with Auto Europe - and more impressed than previously with Hertz, except for the end-of-rental experience. "

This rental was a 9-seater for four weeks so understandably quite expensive, but we were happy with the deal we purchased. However, due to attending a family funeral at the end of our trip we ended up returning the van a couple of hours late - the late charge was extremely expensive. Although I accept the charge was within the terms and conditions, I was disappointed the Hertz official receiving the car didn't mention that this very significant charge was being levied-being informed of it would at least have reduced the shock factor when the credit card bill arrived. " I did get in contact with auto europe after the above mentioned phone call and must say that I did get reconfirmation that all insurance cover applies. Given previous experience I did believe that everything is in order and appreciated the offer that if any hassle at pick up to let the rental company call auto europe to discuss/clarify the insurance cover. This was offered to the lady when she first did not 'see' the insurance package on her screen at pickup, but was then quickly resolved. So very happy with auto europe services, will use them again and recommend. "

We called their emergency road assistance who Told us to stop at a gas station and buy the fluid and We would be reimbursed. We bought the fluid but were not reimbursed. After that fright we had to cut our trip short and return home earlier- we had old people and kids in the van and were now concerned with the van condition. I returned the van on the 4 th instead of the. 5th for the above reasons and asked for a credit they said it?s not with them but that I have to submit a claim to you. " I was not allowed to cancel my rental one day before of the rental start date and due to that I paid for the full period without even using the car. My understanding was that in such situtions there would be a fee for cancelling it but not refusing to cancel it and charging the full price. Next time I would prefer renting direct from the rental company as the offer better conditions for such unexpected situations. "
" It's very handy they have an office in Cork city centre unlike many other car rental companies, but it's often very inconvenient that you cannot drop off a car on Sundays, as they are closed, and therefore have to pay for an extra day if you're going away for the weekend. "

It did not allow me to naturally place the stick in the right position, not even after 5 days driving. "
