And I even offered to cancel my booking and re book there and then for the same vehicle and pay €150 again but I was being charged €450 for the same car for the same duration. And again "the system won't allow" is nonsense. I walked 200 yards and got the same booking for €150 "

" The major fault with the Auto Europe website is that it not display whether the car has a petrol, diesel or hybrid engine which some clients take into consideration when making their choice of car hire. the website does not display the correct type of car being offered by the car hire company e.g. Guerin do not have Ford Focus cars in their fleet "
" On arrival at their car hire desk the waiting was too long even thought there were only 4/5 people in front (nearly an hour). Obviously this means that the paperwork and their computer system is too cumbersome as this was my third car hire with Guerin since Easter (April) this year. Guerin also have not refunded the remaining balance from the deposit for the Via Verde(electronic Toll tag) for the previous two car hire "

" I had a very unsatisfactory experience with guerin. The queue to sign in was terribly long and we were waiting over an hour to check in. It may have been a busy time so I could over look this if it was the end of my concerns. When wr got to the parking lot we were led to a car which was in tatty condition. Every panel on the car was damaged or scratched. When I got into the the car to drive it a message came on the screen to say a brake light wasn't working. I got out of the car and checked the brake lights for correct operation and saw that the driver's side light wasn't working. I told the guerin representative who replied its only supposed to have two lights. I told him that was nonsense. He got a supervisor and she proceeded to tell me the same thing. I was amazed to be told the same ridiculous lie twice. I then asked them what would happen if I was stopped by the police or was involved in a vehicle accident because of a broken brake light. She then reluctantly offered to get another car which she said might be smaller than the car I had already loaded with the luggage of my four family members. At this point I chose to drive away with the broken light and rub the risk of being stopped by the police. Having said all that, mechanically the car never gave any trouble, it just looked bad parked beside my brother's immaculate car that he rented from sixt. The drop off went well no problem "

(and I don't have large kids !)..Maybe they are too used to the Britax ones we have in our own car. We swapped them for standard boosters which was not what I really wanted from a child safety point. Fortunately we didn't have any incidents with the car so didn't get to experience that end of the service !.. Have already recommended AuroEurope. I would use again. Good price too. "

" The car pick-up desk for Guerin covered a few car rental companies, as our flight came in late there were about 6 customers before us but even at that it took about half an hour for our turn. When returning the car a week later we had to queue again, luckily our line was only 7 people long but the line for car pick-up was triple that...this was the first time we used Guerin and the first time we experienced this kind of wait. On the plus side once we were allocated a car there was an assistance who drove it to us and when we dropped it back we again had an assistant check it over straight away. The problem was the queues to sort out the paperwork!! "

We would have been happy to have this insurance provided by Autoeurope either on a per trip basis or with a recommended annual policy. "

They also have all our details on their system as we have used them for many rentals. They should be able to confirm and reuse our information reducing the delay for us and making them more customer focused and operationally efficient. "

The only thing (but it is not a complaint), it would be better to clearly state that, even if a customer choose to have the excess waived, however the deposit taken would be quite high (the amount frozen on the cc has been 1280 euros, so making this card unavailable). Of course I had another CC for the holiday but this may result in strong difficulties to have money enough ! With other companies, when subscribing the Supercover, the deposit is quite low. "

In future I am now more likely to arrange to be collected from the airport and to rent locally at my destination.
