" I am arrived at Europcar around 8 pm on the Friday night. There was only one desk open., although plenty of staff hovering in the background. I got to desk after 20/25 minutes wait. I was told I didn't have full Insurance cover even though I paid extra with Autoeurope. I paid 1,800 Euros deposit and was told there were 4 damages to car. When I found the car it was absolutely filthy on the body. Covered in thick mud. Impossible to see damages. I returned to the office and had to queue again. "Sorry about that Madame. We'll give you another car". When I finally found the car, it was dark. I found two damages , as stated. The following morning I noted about 6 patches of scratches on the bonnet. I took photos and sent with e mail to Europcar. My week's holiday was ruined, worrying about these damages. When I brought car back, they said it was ok. In summary, terrible customer service .and poor cars. I have previously rented with Europcar in Cork and everything was perfect "

When I picked up car, they wanted me to sign off on the damages without even coming outside to look at car with me. I took my own photos and videos of damages before leaving lot. -I was not allowed to use my own car insurance through my credit card even though I brought proof of it, and they insisted I had to use their insurance which ended up costing 167 euro for a 5 day rental. Very frustrating and cost more than anticipated. -at drop off, the fuel line was just slightly below the completely full level and they charged me 25 euro for this. Very frustrated at that. I would rent from another company next time. "

" I've had several good and much more reasonably priced car rental experiences with Auto Europe in the past, but ending up paying an over exaggerated 75 Euros per day this time for a SUV car I didn't reserve and which didn't appear on the written contract between us has turned me off. The feeling I'm left with is that there must be a much better communication and collaboration between Auto Europe and it's partnes overseas to ensure greater customer confidence and satisfaction. "
" To cut it short we are disappointed with our experience of our car booking with you at Dublin airport this time as we ended up paying a total of 746.90 Euros for a Seat SUV car which we never reserved in our initial Auto Europe contract PTC 1192092 and were quite disturbed to hear the assistant behind the Europcar desk insisting that Europcar never have and never stock the Ford Focus Estate offered on your very own website in their fleet. I find this incomprehensible that Auto Europe are not aware of which exact cars their partners at the Dublin airport have for their clients when they arrive. (Especially as the contract was done and paid more than a month before our arrival in Ireland). The Europcar assistant maintained that he never stocks the Ford Focus Estate we reserved and he proceeded to say that he could only offer us a higher range more expensive car (Seat SUV) costing an extra 15 Euros per day on top of the already exhorbitant 596.90 Euros we initially paid to you for the Ford Focus Estate. Nonetheless, I swallowed and paid this higher unexpected cost as this time my wife and I had come to Ireland with two retired good neighbour friends visiting the country for the first time and we didn't want to upset them or make them wait too long for the car after their flight. At this point I feel justified to ask for a refund from Auto Europe for this 150 extra Euros which we ended up paying for this Seat SUV higher range car which we never reserved. Please reimburse it to the same account from which you received the initial 596.90 Euros. Another much smaller thing I wish to inform you about is that when we initially received the car keys on May 23 the assistant behind the desk told us to drop it off on June 2 at the Europcar area just in front of the main airport entrance doors. He never verbally mentioned that there was any fee to drop it off there. And indeed, in my decades of renting out cars at Dublin Airport I was never asked to pay for drop offs. But to our great disgust, immediately after turning the car off at the Europcar parking area on the June 2 drop off, another young man suddenly approached me before I could even get out of the car demanding 35 Euros to drop the car off. Naturally I was quite shocked as I had never experienced this in decades of renting out cars with Auto Europe, Europcar and others at this very same spot. My wife and Belgian friends visiting Ireland for the first time were also indignant and said they never saw such a thing. I suggest that your future customers should be informed about this especially as the renting costs are already quite high. Why are Europcar slapping more unexplained expense onto the client when they arrive to drop the car off? Not very nice or friendly at all, and certainly not a very good or clever way to win new customers! Thanks for your attention to this. "

" I will never rent with Eurocar or Carhire again. Counter staff pushy and arrogant. Waited nearly 20mins for shuttle bus pick up. Car had so many scratches and I was expected to record and submit new ones, raining when I collected car so videoed it but didn't have time to make comparisons. Car drove lovely though. Queried where it said 'is car to be drove outside the island of Ireland', I asked if N.I was included they said it wasn't !!! It would be an extra charge. I said so change the wording to Rep. of Ireland. Drop off was to be open at 5am but didn't open until 5.08am, I waited ten minutes. I had words at the same counter 5 months earlier and sword never with Eurocar again but didn't know Carhire was the same. "
