" No problems with Autoeurope. Sixt have still not closed out my account. There is a clear disconnect about cover provided on the uplifted cover rate paid through Autoeurope "

There was not a proper review of the vehicle when handing back the keys and I have not received official closure of account from Sixt which has me nervous that a charge is pending. "

" The car smelt of cigarette smoke The windows in the vehicle were not clean particularly the driver's window which had long streaks I made it difficult for nighttime driving. As a result of both the above points I had to purchase an air freshener, paper towels, and window cleaner. Then I cleaned the windows. When I rent a vehicle the minimum I expect is that the windows are clean. Apart from the above the vehicle was excellent. "

" We booked in advance and paid in full. This meant we were unable to make any alterations to the booking (which we wanted to extend). So, 3 out of 10 based on complete lack of flexibility - we went to Enterprise instead. "

You said it was 500e but it was actually 1000e because of this I had to pay an extra 182$ at the desk to reduce this.If there was a different excess for different vehicles this should have been stated on your voucher. " Reason for Value drop to 8 was I had upgraded because they offered a "Dodge Charger" in their advertising but didn't get it which was disappointing. I was at my hire car before I realised I had been duped. I would not have upgraded and would got a similar car but definitely cheaper. My hire car was excellent otherwise but I was so looking forward to the Charger experience. "

" Again I was promised 25% off the rental for signing up and I did not get it .. you also stated in your advertisement no money taken up front and you took the full payment the second I booke the car which I found very unhandled and did honest ... and not the ray to do business "

" We were about 45 minutes in line before we got to the top of the line .. and there was only 8 people in front thr agent was sooo sooooo slow and no one apologised for the long wait ... without any doubt enterprise beside the Alamo desk look after at least 40 customers to Alamo 10 inc us ... as my son was counting .. they did now have our car that we made a reservation available in fact there was NO SALOON CARS AVAILABLE, ther gave us a jeep and said it was a better car I have to disagree it was so uncomfortable bounced and bounced and could not get into the jeep comfortable.. I boooed a sedan /saloon full size car and I was giving a beach buggy ... and the service from the staff was take it or leave it that's all we have ... awful first experience and last with Alamo ... "

" Autoeurope was easy to book from, but more transparency is required regarding the amount of excess they cover in comparison to the car company you choose to go with. For example we paid for $300 cover but Avis had $500 excess. So there was a shortfall of $200 we weren't aware of until we spoke to Avis. This could have been made clearer. Also, there should be better communication between the car companies and autoeurope. Is almost felt to us like Avis had never worked with autoeurope before as they nearly didn't believe we had already paid for the car hire. "

" Happy with the car, but very disappointed with our experience with the counter staff upon pick up. Felt like they were trying to add on extra costs unnecessarily. For example we had one additional driver included in our booking and they tried to charge us. Also, we had paid for no excess charges at time of booking and they tried to charge us a second time for it. They had not read the documentation of the agreement from autoeurope and so it felt like there were many disagreements between them and us throughout the pick up experience. We had just taken a 7 hour flight to get to Toronto and so would have preferred an easier transaction rather than getting additional charges from $500 to $0. I felt it was hard to trust Avis after this experience. But the drop off service was much easier and as we brought back the car in immaculate condition, there were no further attempts to charge us any additional costs. The car itself was in great condition and a modern easy to drive car. "

" Our whole experience was disgraceful, we arrived at Pearson airport to collect our car , rang the courtesy phone as advised only to be told that there was no car available, even though we got our confirmation e mail. We were told that it was a mishap that had occurred that morning the customer service at discount was non existent , no one had the courtesy to tell us that we would not have a car when we arrived we traveled 2 hours to get to the airport with a small child we were supposed to be travelling to Niagara Falls with my parents as part of Birthday celebrations this whole situation was a nightmare and I would never book again with auto Europe or discount. "

" Staff at thrifty, pearson international airport, very friendly, pleasant. Gave us a good upgrade, grateful for that. Only downside, Web site insists on international driving permit when traveling from Ireland. This was not asked for by anyone. "

" Auto Europe charged for full tank of gas. I did not have the option to return car with full tank. The charge was mor than the cost of filling the tank "

" Car not ready when I arrived. Initially told it would be 15 minutes. 20 minutes later I was told it would be an additional 45 minutes, as the car needed an oil change,but the car would be upgraded to a higher spec Dodge Durango. 1 hour later, I was told the car was on its way. I had to redo paperwork for higher spec car and pay more for gas. I got the keyes of the car and was about to leave car park, when I was told that I would not be getting this car, but another car, which was not yet ready. After complaining about the appalling service I left with the Dodge Durango. "
