Working on a tan in Alicante

Well with our summer on its last legs I sure am glad that we managed to snatch a bargain with a last minute holiday booking; grabbing ourselves a little winter sun! Of course we all know the most important part of holiday planning; sorting out your outfits! Task number one complete, now for the next part, planning our family holiday itinerary!

Booking a car hire in Alicante is a wise choice, it gives our family the freedom to explore the places that we want to see, the ones that may not be listed in the tourist brochure. Alicante is famous for its wide sandy beaches, which is why it’s a great choice for families; one beach we are definitely lying out the towels on is Playa de San Juan. It has 7 kilometres of gorgeous sands plus it has an 18-hole golf course (that will keep the old man happy!).

Nearby Benidorm is the place that the kids are itching to visit, mainly because it has some of Spain’s best theme parks located here. Another place on our hit list is the town of Villajoyosa; just the name alone makes me smile! Translated to English the name means Jewelled Town, most of the houses are painted in bright colours and the fishing harbour is said to be one of the best around!

Both Benidrom and Villajoysa are just a day trip away from Alicante, which is why a car hire in Spain is such a great idea! Now to my ordinal plan; search out more great beaches in Alicante where I can work on my tan!
