Less is More - Relaxing Holiday Destinations

Often when planning vacations, we tend to research a lot about all of the places we want to go and things we want to see. We sometimes spend our entire holiday rushing around to various sites, trying our best to fit them all in before we leave. We all know that feeling of getting home from a holiday, only to need another holiday to rest up from the one we have just taken. Well, how about taking the time to put everything else aside and just enjoy the small things your holiday has to offer? Cities offer so much, but sometimes just sitting in a garden and gazing at the trees can bring you more pleasure. Here are some tips on how to relax and have a stress free holiday in some of your favorite destinations.
    Versailles

Paris – Relax by reading a book or taking a nap in the gardens of Versailles. There is nothing more relaxing than soaking in the beauty that is around you and napping in the sun while in Paris.

Rome – Take a stroll through the Borghese Gardens around sunset, head west towards the Piazzale Napoleone, here you can sit on a bench and enjoy breathtaking views overlooking Rome. This would be a romantic spot to take that special person you are with.

Budapest – Often referred to as the “Paris of the East”. Spend an afternoon taking a walk through the city and finish it off by enjoying some delicious coffee and cake in one of Budapest’s historic coffee houses. These were known to be the hangout for local poets and writers, who were supplied with free ink and paper as well as being able to order from a discounted “writers menu”. Like them, take your time here to ponder your thoughts and just enjoy your holiday by thinking of what lies ahead.

Lake Como – Situated just outside of Milan, this lake is the perfect place to take a break from the city when traveling to Milan. It is known to be one of the most beautiful lakes in Italy, so I can see why many stars have homes here. It is popular for it´s landscapes, wildlife and spa’s. What a perfect place to retreat!

I hope you will enjoy visiting and relaxing in some of these places, I know I am looking forward to planning my next relaxing holiday!
