    Fun activities in sunny Tenerife

Would you love to take a trip to Tenerife, but do you have a tight budget? Here are some tips for free activities for the whole family to enjoy in Tenerife, Spain.

Build a sandcastle: This is one way to entertain both children and adults. Build an impressive sand castle together or make a competition out of it, to see who can build the tallest or prettiest castle. Children love it and this is a time to live out your fairytale dreams and use your imagination to build up the craziest and most outrageous castles.

Go on an adventure: In the middle of Tenerife, you will find the Teide National Park. Drive your car rental through the park and enjoy the impressive views, as well as the natural environment that surrounds you. See the large volcanic crater or the walk up some up the Mount Teide to enjoy beautiful views over the island.Solve a mystery: The Pyramids of Guimar are composed of six layers built in lava stone. The mystery of it all, is that no one knows who built them and why! These pyramids have become a very popular attraction on the island's West coast and therefore, we recommend to visit the pyramids early in the morning to avoid large crowds of people.

In the near, you will find a small town by the same name, Garachicos. The inhabitants of this little cozy town don't speak much English, so we encourage you to bring a long a Spanish dictionary or phrase-book if you plan to speak with the locals.

Join the festival: Most festivals in Tenerife are held in the summer months, but if you visit Puerto de la Cruz and La Orotava in the end of November, you can take part in the St. Andrew Festival. This annual event celebrates the wine production of the year, and it is a great place to try the local wines and learn more about the local wine production and community.
