The city is surrounding by an amazing landscape. Visit Corcovado and Sugarloaf Mountain. From both of these locations you can admire the city views. At the top of Corcovado is where you will find the statue of Christ the Redeemer, one of the most recognised icons in the world.

Rio is also one of the host cities of the 2014 FIFA Wold Cup and due to hold the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
