Christmas Markets in Europe

In the southern part of Sweden, Malmo offers several Christmas markets in December.
You can stroll around the city of Malmo and find small, quirky gifts or delicious Christmas delicacies. Visit also the Organic Fair Trade Market, where you can buy design and lifestyle products that are organic, vintage and fair trade.
When: The Christmas market in the city is open every Tuesday – Sunday until the 23rd of December 2012. The Organic Fair Trade Market takes place between the 15th-16th of December 2012.

In Gothenburg you will find Sweden’s largest Christmas market, where you can get everything your heart desires. Buy for example your Christmas gifts in one of the many small stalls or enjoy the entertainment.

The Farmer Museum in Skurup, displays traditional Christmas decorated homes, as they were between 1928 and 1958. Light up the wood-fired stove and the candles on the Christmas tree, while you enjoy a nice glass of mulled wine and homemade brown cakes.
When: From 9th December to 16 December 2012.

Most Christmas markets in Prague are within 10 minutes walking distance from each other. Most of them can be found at Staromestske Namesti, Wenceslas Square and Havelské Trziste, where there among the stalls and shopping, is live music and goats, sheep and even a lama that kids can greet.
When: Until the 1st of January 2013.

One of Europe’s oldest and most visited Christmas markets is in Vienna, Austria. Both the town hall and the trees in the part are decorated with Christmas lights. The park is transformed into a fairytale world where children and adults can explore the Christmas fairytales.
When: Until the 24th of December 2012.

Every year during the Christmas months, Hyde Park in London is turned in to a Christmas wonderland. Here you will find rides, food and drinks plus the opportunity for lots of Christmas shopping. The park is decorated with lights and the ice rink offers fun for both adults and children.
