    Car Hire Advice: What you need to collect a vehicle

    Our call centre car hire experts have had a number of enquires of late regarding the paperwork needed to collect your car hire.

    You may have seen on the web and in the news that the new changes to the UK driving licence have led to additional information being asked by the car hire companies. This although correct, is only valid for driver licence holders living in England, Scotland and Wales. There are no changes to Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland driving licence holders.

    When you arrive at your car hire location you will need your driving licence, your passport, photo ID, a credit card in the name in which the reservation has been made and, of course, your Auto Europe car hire voucher.

    If you have made the booking online then a voucher is emailed to you immediately, if you do not have this please call our team on +49 89 412 09 786. If you have made the booking via our call centre, our staff would have asked for an email address or a fax number to send the voucher onto.
