" On Friday last 30/06/2023 We travelled fro Lermoos to Munich Airport.As journey took longer due to heavy traffic,we went straight to Car rental return,I needed to use the toilet badly,as I'm on medication for prostate cancer.Petrol tank was 1/4 full.I offered to take the car to Petrol Station,but inspector said this was not allowed.We were charged €421.65 for Petrol and Service,.This is totally unacceptable and extortionate.To fill the tank would cost €70 approximately.I have no problem with paying a reasonable penalty,but €421.65, is totally and utterly unacceptable. I hope this issue can be resolved in A Reasonable Manner. I emailed you with this complaint on Tuesday 04/07/2023. I also sent a copy of the Bill from Hertz. We tried to call the company but didn't get a reply. We ended up driving to terminal 1 for drop off and then had to take the shuttle bus back to terminal 2. " I have rented cars from AutoEurope for years. I have rented cars from Munich airport for fifteen years and never had trouble before. I have never rented from Hertz/Thrifty and I never will again. "
" I was dismayed to receive an invoice for an additional cost of €242.51 from Hertz/Thrifty. I queried this amount and I am told it is for cross border fee and petrol. The cross border fee is €45. This means Hertz/Thrifty are charging €197.51 for less than a quarter tank of petrol used. I filled up the petrol tank the night before I returned the car. I intended to top up the petrol near the airport but I could not find a petrol station close. I have a photograph showing the petrol tank was more than three quarters full when I returned the car to Hertz/Thrifty. It is outrageous to invoice me this amount. Also they are very difficult to contact. I had to search for an email address that I could reach them at. "

Told me there was damage to the car and they would mail me the details, which they never did. The car was covered in scratches, this particular one apparently wasn't listed yet, which I had no way of establishing. Complete trap. "

" Had problem when we landed in hanover , we went to the service desk to be told that we would not be able to collect rental car . the reason that they told us was that we could not use a debit visa card to rent . (But even though we told them that we had contacted Auto europe the week before and asked them to clarify that we could proceed with just a visa debit and they said no problem they would still not listen ) So after around an hour of waiting around and several phone calls to try and find a solution we got sorted , in fairness Auto europe were trying there best but it may be something that needs more attention .
