Granted we did not have a credit card in the main drivers name, I understand that, however we had a debit card in the main drivers name and also another credit card. We had the availability for sixt to hold the 1500e excess as per our agreement yet they refused. We were charged an unexceptable amount of non refundable money to rent the car we had already paid for. The only other option was to walk away with no car (obviously ruining plans) and lose the money already paid. I rang autoeurope on 2 occasions and found the second customer service representative to be incredibly rude and refused to allow me to speak to her manager. We were trying to some to a reasonable resolution yet we were met with repetition of the same information and no attempt to help us. I am disgusted with the service by all parties (excluding Shannon on the desk at sixt as she did everything in her power to assist). Terrible customer service and an unacceptable way to carry out business. "

However when I returned the car at 5 am it was extremely busy with only one member of staff on duty which resulted in a delay of approx. 45 minutes on a very cold morning. Perhaps his management should look at the number of returns at that time of the morning and roster an appropriate amount of staff. " I'm fed-up with the hard sell up-selling of insurance. Waiting in line for my car all I can hear is terror tactics being used to coerce customers to buy more insurance. I hate having to hear this and more importantly wait longer for this. SIXT are particularly excessive. This time I decided to experiment - I chose to take ALL insurances offered via autoeurope (Basic Rental with Insurances, CDW, THP, ZQ ). It seemed that SIXT knew nothing about this - they didn't even know what the acronyms meant - and they continued to try to sell me more and more insurance. Then they blocked ?1500 from my credit card for possible damages! So what was the point of pre-buying all this insurance if they still went through the same scare tactic hard sell? "

It was very unpleasant and disappointing for me once I have rented cars before with Auto Europe without any problem in another occasions. I lost ?80 plus my time, hotel, plans and a lot more. It started at the desk in terminal 2, having queued for about 6 mins the service lady informed me she was going on her break and I needed to go to the car holding area. She had called for the shuttle but clearly failed to tell the driver there were 3 customers needing the shuttle. I followed the first person within about 3 mins only to see the shuttle having pulled away and now I had to wait 15 mins in the cold for it to return. When we got to the car holding area there were 2 staff but only one could handle the registration process. It took approx 44 mins from first engagement to get the car "
