" I wasn't able to rent the car due to the counter staff not accepting my card for the deposit, after multiple tries to sell me an inflated inssurance package. In the end I didn't leave with the car as I didn't want to play so much extra for a simple rental. The Pricecarz representative said he will cancel the reservation, but couldn't say anything about the refund. I contacted Autoeurope for a refund seeing as I was not the one who refused the service, but Pricecarz refused my card without even trying it, and insisting for their special inssurance package for extra cost. Autoeurope reaponded with terms and conditions for the reservation, which I honnestly don't think apply for this situation. "

" They gave us a Renault traffic when the payment was for a mercedes Vito without a working usb or navigation. No reverse sensor which is a must in such large vehicle. The car had smelled and was dirty. Upon return they asked for 60 euro cleaning fee although we paid an additional 300 euro fee upon pick up to avoid any additional fees. They tried to claim some belt was damaged and tried to charge more money for it but gave up. It felt like they were trying to scam us to get as much more money. I would never rent from Payless and would prefer to deal with real rental agencies "

" One notable issue. Although PAYLESS paid the motorway/road tax (Ro-vineta) for the full year they still charge us 10E (>20% of the rental in this case) each time we rent the same car. It's nothing more than legalized theft. Otherwise the staff + car cannot be faulted. So avoid if you have better options. "

" Wheego Bucharest was abysmal this time: - The 550EUR credit card block advertised when booking the car turned double when picking up the car. - The full tank advertised when booking the car turned almost an empty tank when picking up the car. - 1 Agent (operation) that could not care less (e.g. the car I got was filthy and smelled bad when A/C-fan was on). - The paying terminal did not work. It took ~30 min of trying to use my creditcard and calling the banks to realize that the Wheego payment system was malfunctioning and needed a hard reboot. - Although I've booked a renault clio (present in the parking lot when collecting the car) I got a poor rusty & abused dacia. - The inside of the car was filthy when I picked it up: mud throughout the car (as seen in pics/video I took). - After removing all the chemical cocktail of air fresheners and turning on the A/C fan, the cabin started smelling like a corpse (the air filter hasn't been changed for a very long time). - New dashboard lights started coming on after ~100km. The carefree agent explained on the phone that it was the poor quality of the fuel (obviously not during the first ~100km of driving it without refueling; only after that the fuel became an issue...). Then the TPM came on (no issue with the tires though) but this was not as worrying as the engine check light. - When returning the car the carefree agent wanted me to find carwash to wash the car (I was supposed to get on a plane to get home) in order for him to inspect the car. There was none in that area. The car was actually pretty clean but I pointed out that klasswagen bucharest (used before via autoeurope) washed their cars before inspecting them. But wheego being a 1 carefree agent operation did not have this basic facility. - After returning the car the carefree agent decided that he discovered imperfections (e.g. bumps or dents or etc) on top of the boot of the car. Lucky me I took pics and a video of the car when I picked it up that showed that imperfections were there before picking up the car but only visible from specific angles (light conditions) with the naked-eye/camera (were visible in the video I took when collecting the car). - The carefree agent decided to block the money on my credit-card for another 30 days until the preexisting imperfections issue was sorted out (or until Wheego can try to get some cash out for the repairs of me I guess?). Luckily I have the video proving these were there before picking up the car. 3. Conclusion: - Autoeurope used to be brilliant (use them in the USA and throughout Europe) and needs to get back in the game. - Wheego Bucharest is abysmal and is best to stay away unless you want to complicate your life. At least get all the insurance you can and abuse your camera/phone. I hope this helps improve things. "

" My plane had a big delay, they asked me to pay 130 euros for the AU-FE reservation code for a Ford Focus, given that I only had a maximum of 100 km to go. I called to ask for a refund of the reservation, but I was treated at a distance, telling me that it is not possible......as I am a serious customer who uses your service quite often.... ..I am very disappointed with autoeurope :( "

" 1. The sales agent was trying hard to convince me to take their insurance because the Romanian Police would not issue a report in case of a small damage (scratches, dents, etc). I had the refundable excess with super cover already but it was conditional upon the Police report being issued. This detail should be included bu Autoeurope in the voucher for future reference (i.e. that the Romanian police do not issue reports for small incidents, if this is the case). The only issue is the requirement for a credit card which I find too restrictive. Debitcards and cash/transfers should be also allowed as this is legal tender. There were people present that were unable to secure a car because they had not credit cards. I find this disturbing. This should change. I've been renting with Autoeurope for many many years and never had a serious issue. "

The Credit Card Block (for 1800EUR) was done in RON (Romanian currency) and not Euro as it is normally the case. This incurred additional (unjustified) credit card charges. 3. A wheel had a puncture but I couldn't use the sealant kit provided because the compressor was missing. Obviously there was no half/full spare tire present. So I had to drive for miles to find a repairs shop and get it fixed. Otherwise the Ford Fiesta was in good condition and clean. Overall I would rate my experience a solid 7/10. But I would consider alternatives. "

" Booked an automatic estate vehicle for 30 days, received a 8+1 van, replaced with an defect ford focus estate after 4 days (known issues with the gearbox, specified only after I've called them back when the problems started to be visible) and replaced again in 10 days with a smaller hatchback, without any refund for the difference... I want to thanks to Ioana, the representative from Cluj that she tried to fix the situation as goo as she can, and I don't recommend the Timișoara location at all, the owner was very rude and unpleasant... " KLASSwagen is a Horrible Horrible company, using AutoEurope only for clickbait, then blatantly ignoring the prepaid rental contract, and asking for a much higher price approx 15 times more money to release a car. Horrible bullying customer manners, trying to push and scare the customer into buying their extra insurance (even if I had a prepurchased full excess CDW). At car inspection they are counting even 0.5mm black point in the paint as a car damage scratch. At car return, they force you to leave a 5 star customer rating on Google reviews. Ludicrous company. "
" KlassWagen didn't honour their contract and refused to rent me the car that I have prepaid for. The KlassWagen desk staff insisted that my contract was not valid, because AutoEurope didn't pay them. But immediately after refusing to honour my rental contract, the KlassWagen guy offered me a car rental, on a new contract directly with them at a new price: 170€, a lot higher than I originally paid for. "

" ADDCAR was great once you figured out where the location was. Very difficult to find which was frustrating- there is no signage or booth in the airport.
