I had to pay an extra €243 for full insurance cover. My Auto Europe receipt states "Full damage protection with breakdown cover" so somebody is telling lies. I will not be using Klass Wagen or Auto Europe in the future. "

" Controversial. The car and staff were OK, but the whole business model sucks. They put a little list in front of me at 1am, like "If the car is dirty, will cost you 50EUR +80EUR", and so on (there were at lest 2-3) possible extra. Also if you don't buy our insurance, it will take at least 30 min thorough check when you drop the car (that's what I need when I'm going to the airport) and we will block 2700EUR on your credit card. Or, just pay 115 EUR for 3 days for insurance and none of the above will apply. My full rent was 104 EUR, so they just doubled my cost. This is really not the best business model. I might will rent from them, but certainly won't be my preferred company. "

Their info is very thorough and if you read all of it, you will know if there are local fees for example: the U Save cross border fee and the 10 Euro highway vignette. Also I changed my reservation to avoid the crossborder fee because I decided to stay in country and Auto Europe answered all my questions and responded right away. "
" Everything was fine for me. I walked to the rental agency and picked up my car. I was there maybe 15-20 minutes. They answered all my questions about gas for the car (what kind!), the highway vignette (which I had to pay for separately, which I knew), and they were straightforward with the car inspection and the 1/4 tank of gas. My car was in great shape. The interior was beautiful (the outside was muddy but its winter). It was an almost brand new car. I lucked out that it was automatic, although I didnt reserve an automatic and I didnt have to pay extra. The car ran great and was fun to drive. The return was easy. The staff was a little frazzled and busy. The lot was a little full and difficult to maneuver and find parking in. But I got it parked. The return took maybe 20 minutes and the man was nice. He verified the condition of the car and drove me to the airport to catch my bus. I checked today and there were no mysterious charges and I got my deposit back. "

" This was my second time renting from Usave. This time I was quite annoyed and disappointed. The first time I booked a Suzuki Vitara (or similar) car for nearly 3 weeks. This time I needed a larger car because I had a double buggy with me and knew it would not fit into the Vitara's boot. So I payed the extra and booked a Toyota Auris Estate (or similar). Before booking I sent a couple of emails, asking for confirmation that this is indeed going to be an estate. I received no reply at all. My father, who lives locally went over in person to talk to one of your staff members and was told that this will be an estate. So I booked the car (and paid extra for the bigger size). However, when I arrived to collect the car I was again given a Suzuki Vitara. I told the staff member that this is not what I booked and that I paid extra money to get an estate. He was surprised that I paid more and told me that they do not have any estate cars at all. When my father (who was with me) reminded him that he had come in to talk to them in person (after they ignored my emails) and got confirmation from the same person that we would be getting an estate, he did not have an answer. In the end I was given a slightly bigger Suzuki but it was far from the size of an estate and I struggled to fit the buggy into the boot. I will need to rent a car again in the summer for about 3 weeks but not sure what to do because I'm afraid I will end up getting the same small car again, no matter how much I pay. Would be good to know if there is a way to get a bigger car at all?? Or if you don't own any larger models then I'm wondering why they are on your website and why you charge more when I book.... "

" I actually never got to rent my car because after I paid for it with Visa back in May after in the attached voucher in your terms and conditions was calculated that you wd b taking 1100.00 security deposit from my visa. It says excess+fuel+vat. God knew what that meant. I was not aware it at all. So I was left without a car for my whole holidays with my small child. I had to walk everywhere and take a taxi. I also lost my 123.00 rental money. It is a disgrace and if you are so concerned about your reputation shd be more specific about your fees. It is terrible to be left stranded like I was. " I always rented cars via Thrifty in Ireland. When arrived, the car prepared for us had no winter tyres on. It was stated in voucher that winterization included, also heavy snowing was forecast in Hungary. When I booked I requested to travel to Austria, sated in my booking, paid full in advanced, yet they wanted to charge me for travelling to Vienna (50, almost 3 days rent). De-icer and ice scraper were not in the car yet stated in voucher. The first car was in a bad state, knocking noise from wheels while turning. We left with third car (only with winter tyres on), clutch and gearbox were not up to standard. Dropped the car off on Sunday, 517 deposit still not released. "
