" The only downside I have with Green Motion is access to the location from LHR. The poor reliability, regularity (once an hour, if it shows) and capacity of the courtesy buses to and from the airport is not great so a taxi would be needed if you are tight for time. The only other drawback (and this could be a little unfair as all hire companies may have the same terms) but there is no refund for cars returned early .. and I don't mean by minutes! I returned the car a whole day early but no refund .. so read the terms carefully before booking. That aside, the agent I dealt with onsite was very friendly and efficient. The car, not the cleanest mind, was excellent. "

The American chap in front of me had difficulty logging into his email, and it took 15 minutes before he could get and sign the email. I have never seen something as daft. While I was there, one customer walked out. I imagine that there are many more dissatisfied customers like him. "

Then given a great car however just sent out to go find it in a very large car park- these things consume time you don't want to spend while on holidays. On return they told us we were 4 days overdue on our date and owed money which was incorrect. However the manager did sort it and was pleasent and helpful- out taking extra time before our flight that we didn't have. Last and finally the bus transfer to and from depot was driven by the most unhelpful drivers- just sit in the van no help to disabled and let people figure out the luggage hold. Incredibly rude. " It is always easy to book a car rental with Auto Europe. The list of comparisons provides very helpful information. The reason I chose Green Motion was that the cost of the rental was cheaper than other rentals because of the limited mileage option in the clause. This suited me on this occasion as I only used 66% of my allocation. "
" Firstly, I would like to put on record that I found the staff in Green Motion to be very courteous and helpful. However, there was a major issue with my rental. In relation to the Collision Damage Waiver, Green Motion required of me to put a hold of £1,500 on my credit card. The only option for doing this was to use the chip and pin function on my card. Unfortunately for me, this function was not working on my card. I, therefore, assumed that I could just provide the necessary credit card details that is equally normally associated with credit card transactions. However, I was reliably informed that this option was not available with Green Motion. I explained that any collision damage excess was covered on my policy with Autoeurope, whom I had booked the car rental with. In other words, if anything was to happen to the car, Green Motion were guaranteed to be reimbursed all of the excess . However, I was informed that the car could not be released to me despite all of the alternatives outlined above. In the end, I was able to get the car released with the use of a debit card. However, this cost me £152 and this was non-refundable. Given that I had already bought extra insurance through Autoeurope and I had a credit card that could have been accessed through an equally popular channel for the release of funds, this was a bitter pill to swallow especially that I was being charged an enormously large amount of money for 4 days use. Despite the rather otherwise good service and the quality of the rented car, it should come as no surprise that it is unlikely that I will find myself in a position to consider using Green Motion in the future. I have informed Green Motion of my dissatisfaction. My only hope is that Green Motion will take on board what is referenced here and put in place extra backup options for credit card payments to cater for unforeseen and unfortunate events as outlined above. Green Motion ended up getting an unnecessary extra payment and I ended up bearing the brunt of an unnecessary and hugely expensive and unwarranted cost. As you can tell, I am not a happy customer. "

" Car was Not a VW GOLF. It was a Dacia Sandero, they may be the same size but they are not equivalent. The first car had a Hub Cap missing and a low tyre pressure light was on. The replacement was also a Sandero. The windscreen and door archs were dirty. On returning the car they saw a small dent on a Hub Cap. I said that this was on the car on collection. They stated that it was my responsibility to check the car on collection and report any damage. This was not explained at collection. Eventually I met the agent who I collected the car from and he confirmed that this damage was already on the car. He was very helpful. The office is dirty and untidy. During collection the staff who have perfect English spoke Arabic among themselves. "

" We waited for over an hour to be seen by someone to begin with. It's not ideal with two young kids. Only to be told our booking was cancelled. They were expecting us as 10am that morning (default time on original booking). They then blamed autoeurope for not passing on our flight details but there were sorry they had no car to give us. They then said they found an email from autoeurope with our flight details but no one on their side updated the system and with this information and our booking was cancelled and they still had no cars to give us. It was a very stressful situation as you can imagine. We were also not told about the DBVL check on an English licence which wouldn't go through on the website for us so we had to make a new booking with them with me as the driver on an Irish licence which cost us an extra 150pounds. A car appeared from somewhere for us then accompanied by lots of moaning from the counter staff. We also paid for full to full on fuel and the car was given to us on absolute empty with no offer of information as to where the nearest garage was located. It was late at night at this stage we were all tired and I can sum it up as the most stressful travel experience we have ever had with picking up a car. "

" We felt that there was an heavy onus on us to photograph the car and check all dents and marks as the staff members left us as soon as they gave over the keys and we had to keep requesting they checked our concerns. When we finally left and headed on to the motorway we noticed the Service light was on and this remained on for the rest of our trip. We felt our experience was such that on arriving home we have cancelled our booking for next weekend and will be using an alternative provider. "

The agent showed us a sign at the door requesting this number, but we asked if he was serious as we had just got off a plane from Ireland. He showed me something on the Green Motion site but I said I booked through Auto Europe and again pointed at the terms and conditions. " The reason I would not recommend green motion was counter staff was rude to me and obnoxious he embarrssed me in front of other customers he would not allow me to ask any questions or query anything he told me he was not there to answer any of my questions he was annoyed i felt that i did not want to take out further insurance or up grade my car he told me I was getting car for practically nothing I only paid what I was asked it didnt matter whether it was cheap or dear that was the price i was asked He would not explain why the bank was holding my credit card for up to weeks. The car was supposed to be full with petrol it was in the red and was told it was like with like so I was very anxious driving away not knowing were the next petrol station was and how far the car would travel before I ran out of petrol. I was so embarrassed in small office with everyone listening to him being rude to me and customers ended up joining it I drove awy in tears itcwas the first time for me to rent car and will not be recommending auto euro/green motion "

" Hi my wife filled out the previous feedback. Several issues 1. When I chatted to counterstsff on check-in I was given the impression that I was receiving an A class Merc, I find it hard to believe a budget Citroen C3 to be equivalent to a vw golf. 2. I arrived to the car which was covered in front to unable to complete a walk around but had full insurance so this wasn't a big deal I'm aware customers have until 10am to check cars and take pics. However just as I was leaving the carpark and had gone past the barrier the fuel light came on which was an issue as I was rushing to a funeral and now had to detour to refill. On my was to bedford I have to call customer service to tell then there was an issue wit the handbrake and that it was not completely releasing I pulled in when i noticed steam/smoke and let the brake cool down. I pumped the pedal a few times and continued without further issue. While pulled over I then noticed the the back passenger alloy was previously damaged and marked on damage sheet but the damage was such that the shape of the rim had a flat spot, best unusual. I work for an airline and must say having rented several cars a month this was the worst experience. The staff on check in were fine but i definitely think the car is not equivalent to a vw golf and the condition was near unsafe considering the back brakes getting stuck on. Regards "

I did not expect the cost to be over €320 euros and therefore was not prepared at the time to pay such a sum. If in the initial booking it had told me the overall cost, deposit included then I would have been prepared for it instead I had to move money around online to be able to pay for the car. "

" It was horrific. I was travelling with my 82 year old mother and 2 young children. Auto Europe did nothing to help my situation and left me to deal with Green Motion. You should be ashamed of yourselves. "
" My flight was delayed. Green motion desk closed at 10pm and told me I could pick up the following morning, but I wasn't staying in Manchester and had a 1.5 hour drive. Auto Europe took 1 hour to answer the phone. I was told to deal with Green Motion. When I told them what Green Motion said I was told I could cancel but there were no refunds. Then I was told that the flight didn't say it was delayed online, disputed the fact that it was past the flight time and I was on the phone to them from Dublin. Finally I was told my agreement said no refunds for July and August but it did not say that anywhere on my voucher. I hired a car from Enterprise instead and am currently doing a chargeback via my credit card. "

" Our flight was delayed, we kept Green Motion informed pre take off and when we landed. Despite all this they had no details of our booking when we arrived at their office 45 min after closing time, for which they added an extra charge of £36.00. We also had to pay £10 for a taxi to get to their office, because they wouldn' t answer the phone. The car we received was practically red on the fuel guage, we said that we had to travel 60 miles onto our destination, but they were not bothered. It was also unclean inside. As it was dark we couldn't do a visual inspection but the GM employee said that the 2 nearside wheel rims were damaged and he marked it on the inspection sheet. In daylight the next day as directed, we informed them of further damage to all the rims and tyres as well as marks on the body. We took pictures on our phone as well. The tyres were cut/split with flaps in numerous places. When we returned the car the GM employee spent over 10 minutes examining it, especially digging his fingers into and pulling at all the tyre cut/flaps. We just let him know the damage had already been done prior to us hiring the car and we had photographic evidence to back this up..............So all in all we were given an unclean, empty fueled and dangerous car to drive by Green Motion. A very Unsatisfactory experience. "

" I booked the car for 22:00 collection, the flight arrived at 21:50. I called the Green Motion office number as soon as I got off the plane at 22:02 and they were closed. They had my flight number and knew I was arriving close to their closing time. Their office phone rang out and emergency cell number went straight to voicemail. I had to get an expensive taxi to my destination. When I returned the following day the manager was unhelpful and indignant about what happened. He likened his business to a bank, where they close at 17:00 after a long day of work; he had no appreciation for the poor comparison when I explained they were providing a car rental service at an airport, not a bank, and customer service should be an important element of this. Waiting a few minutes extra for a passenger arriving off a plane is good customer service, following a flight delay of 10 mins. It is really that simple. If the flight was delayed for several hours, then I would understand. Cheap car hire, cheap customer service; zero customer experience. "

They told me they did not know how to use many options on the car,and I should read the manual. On return they said that I had a cracked mirror on left, I did not check the mirror when I got the car as I was over worried about the Bents and scratches, I wonder was it there before. It cost me 150 pounds,. A girl behind me was also returning my car and they stated she had a number scratches and would cost her. I really feel it was a scam. And they were out to make money off young single women travelling alone. I have used other companies and this was by far the worst, but and rudest people ever. "

Complained and was given a Honda Jazz which was supposed to be auto but was in fact manual. However, the biggest thing was that the car was absolutely filthy with no cleaning between rentals. Food left inside the car and not cleaned inside or out. Also, booked to pick up and return full of fuel, but the first car I was offered was almost empty and was told I could leave it back the same which seems ridiculous. Overall very poor. "

Did get stopped by Police but not ticketed / prosecuted (being an ex police officer probably helped!). Car was also checked for pre hire damage with aid of a torch as lighting in yard was poor. No problems in pick up or drop off, but staff attitude to an obvious illegal fault was very poor. Also, I only just made the nearest garage as petrol level was well in the red - This was pointed out but is quite unacceptable. Nice car though and at a great price! "
