" This episode was completely unsatisfactory. I suspect that the issue with Europcar related to late payment of a toll fee which I paid last month. The issue is that Europcar blocked the rental without any notification and prior notice. Auto Europe should have been aware that the Europcar rental was blocked and should havev notified me of this issue. As a result I was stranded at the Europcar desk with no alternative but to book with another car rental company. I am seeking a full refund of the money paid or I will have to proceed further. "

The staff were not willing to help and as I was in Melbourne, I could not call the UK office. Overall this was a major disappointment. I had to book a new car rental with another company. " Offer more cars with Unlimited Milage at a reasonable price. It's almost impossible to go anywhere in the Top End on a 100km a day limit. Ridiculous! It was only through AutoEurope that I managed to secure a car that had it but it cost an absolute fortune. "

" This experience was significantly better than our first rental, a week previous in Melbourne city. Being a VERY regular customer of both AutoEurope and Europcar, we were very disappointed not to be able to add a 2nd driver (as she had a scanned copy of her licence). I understand the explanation on the company's side but being such a regular customer the Melbourne office were less than impressive in how they dealt with us. Although there was a delay due to computer issue in Hobart (not their fault, but that of the French HO) the lady dealing with us was a delight. What a contrast! "
