    The Caribbean island of St Martin is divided into one French part and one Dutch part. St Martin is a tropical paradise, like many other Caribbean islands. With a car from Philipsburg you can easily explore this wonderful island. With white beaches, crystal-clear water and swaying palm trees this is really the place to be. Drive through mountain areas and areas with lush tropical rain forest. With a rental car it is easy to find your own favorite spot in the sun.

    Requirements
    To rent a car, you must be at least 18 years old (age can vary by car category) and have held your driver's license for at least 1 year. Seatbelts and child seats are mandatory.

    • Open Roads: 100 km/h
    • Motorways: 115 km/h

    Traffic restrictions
    In St Martin you drive on the right side of the road. The roads are in good condition and the driving style is in most cases like in Ireland. Be aware of farm animals that might cross or block the road.

    There are many petrol stations in St Martin. Many of them are also open 24 h.

    Tolls
    There are no toll roads in St Martin.

    Parking is normally easy to find and most hotels and resorts offer secure parking.
