    Driving information Lebanon

    General Information

    Lebanon is an exotic country in the Middle East. Book a car hire in Lebanon and drive along the Mediterranean coast. The quality of the roads varies and there are two major motorways along the coast.

    To rent a car, you must be at least 23 years old (age can vary by car category) and have held your driver's license for at least 2 years. An international driver's license in mandatory.

    Speed limits in Lebanon are:

    • Town and city: 50 km/h
    • Motorways: 100 km/h

    Traffic restrictions
    In Lebanon you drive on the right side of the road. Always remember to take it extremely easy and avoid driving in the city centre. The roads can be of low quality and are often poorly maintained. The locals are also not famous for safe driving. Speed cameras are being installed lately.

    It is easy to find a petrol station. Fuel is quite expensive in Lebanon.

    There are no road tolls in Lebanon.

    In Beirut you can park in car parks. On-street parking is normally only allowed for about 2 hours.
