" As above. "
" Car brakes omitted a very high noise when brake pressed, car not clean, on return the man who checked the car was outright rude. "

" I copied Sixt email to AutoEurope on 20 June regarding issues with the rental but got no replies. I eventually called Auto Europe on the phone on 25 June (no reply to email still) and received a phone call back that morning. What I was told was that the Octavia and Corolla were both 'C' class vehicles, therefore the Octavia was classed the same as the Corolla; 'C' class. Sixt may put them in the same class but there are definitely not similar vehicles in terms of size or power. There is no way a Corolla and Octavia are equivalent. The Octavia is a far bigger and more powerful vehicle than the Corolla. The Octavia is ideal for Cyprus as it has steep inclines/declines of 8-11% and I had three passengers. I was not satisified with the fact that AutoEurope did not reply to my emails at all forcing me to follow up by phone. When I did follow up by phone, I would have thought that AutoEurope would have intervened on my behalf with Sixt to ensure I would get an Octavia or better when I arrived back to the rental desk. A delay of five days replying to emails is not great by any standards, I expected better. "
" CYcarhire vendor was Sixt. The expectation I had when arriving at the desk was a Skoda Octavia (as per image on my booking email). What I received was a Toyota Corolla Hybrid with a keyfob that would not lock the car. I was offered an upgrade for a fee/day but I declined. I would have thought that I should have been offered the upgrade for free as they didn't have an Octavia. I contacted Customer.Relations@sixt.com.cy on 20 June by email (Joanne Williams) and said I would be at the Paphos airport on 25 June and could I exchange the car for a Octavia. I provided my voucher number however, I never received any reply as to whether I could or not exchange vehicles. I copied this email to reservations@autoeurope.eu on 20 June but did not get any reply from AutoEurope either. Subsequently, I went to the airport on 25 June and spoke to the manager at the Sixt rental desk who very kindly agreed to my request. I must compliment him very much but criticise the non-reply to my email from Joanne Williams of Sixt and AutoEurope. I have to say that the Sixt rental staff on the ground in Paphos airport are great and customer service could learn a lot from them. "

" I have used autoeurope on several occasions and have never had any poor experiences with them. The rental company in Cyprus (Sixt) was the problem. They told me they were giving me a free upgrade, the car was not up to the standard I would expect from a hire company, plenty of scratches and marks on the bodywork, in car systems were outdated. "
" Sixt were the car hire company. I paid €133 to auto Europe for the hire car. At the desk I was required to pay another €146 and put a hold of €150 on my debit card because they would not accept blocking my wife's credit card. (No other hire car I've ever had has a problem with this. I would not recommend sixt to anybody unfortunately. This is my second poor experience with this company. "

" I was somewhat disappointed to learn that Autoeurope set up the car rental contract on a 'Full to Empty' basis. I only found this out when I arrived at the car rental desk. I was told that were I booking with Sixth direct then it would be on a 'Full to Full' basis. I was told that all the contracts from Autoeurope to Sixth in Cyprus was on 'Full to Empty' basis and they weren't able to change it. As I said, I was disappointed with that position. I believe Autoeurope's default fuel position should be a 'Full to Full' basis "
" I was satisfied overall but I could not get an answer from Sixth to a question I asked regarding a situation where the main driver was unable to drive the vehicle (due to illness). I made it clear that the main driver would not be able to go to the hire location. I wanted to know the procedure of how a second driver would be substituted then for the main driver. I did not get an adequate answer - I got a 'standard' answer which didn't answer the question. I'm sure that this situation cannot be unique in the industry and there surely is a procedure to deal with it. I would be delighted to know what the procedure is if ever I need to use it. "

" My comments may change if you refund the payment made for my booking. It is unscrupulous to retain the full payment. "
" When I arrived to collect my car I was told I couldn't hire it without making a deposit payment. The card I used to make the booking was not acceptable. "
