    Airport Amenities

Zurich's reputation for world-class shopping is evident from the moment you arrive in the airport. Award winning with a dizzying array of amenities, Zurich Airport is considered one of the best airports in the world. Shops are open 8am to 9pm with some grocery stores open until 11pm. You will find access to public transportation, medical and dental centres including pharmacies and nurseries and ample banks and money exchange kiosks. Wifi access, telephone, fax and photocopy are also available.

    Transportation from the Airport

    Car
If traffic is light, the drive to Zurich should only take about 20 minutes. From the airport pick up the A51, following signs for Zurich city and merge onto the A1L. If you are headed to Lake Lucerne stay left on A51 and merge onto the A4. Switzerland has excellent roads but be aware they have strict traffic laws against speeding and drinking-driving.

    Train, Boat and Tram
Switzerland has an integrated ticketing system for all their public transport (ZVV) and even offers a 'special' for tourists which includes Zurich and its surrounding area with a free entrance to museums for either 24 or 72 hours. This public transport includes a boat bus on the Limmet River into Zurich Lake and several lake steamers which leave from Burkliplatz.

The train station is located on the lowest level of the airport shopping centre and you can buy tickets here.

    Parking Information

A wide range of short and long term parking is available at Zurich Airport. Three multi level car parks, P1, P2 and P3, are attached directly to the terminals, and easy access open air car parks with long term availability are located nearby. Car parks P6 and P60 are cheaper for long term parking and reservations are necessary. Car parks are located throughout downtown Zurich and you should be able to easily find one near any desired location.
